The town of Rožmberk, founded in the middle of the 13th century, is associated with the noble family of Rožmberk. Here you can visit the eponymous castle, St. Nicholas's Church, splendid historic square, old and new Jewish graveyards or nearby Studenec and Passage of the Cross leading to the St. Anne's Chapel. At the state-owned Rožmberk Castle, sword fighting shows, concerts, theatre performances and other interesting events take place each year.
