The highest located castle in the Czech Republic (1,053 MASL) with the biggest preserved habitable tower ("keep") offers a view of the Šumava mountain range, Lipno Reservoir, Novohradské hory mountain range and if the visibility is good, the Austrian Alps as well. There is a refreshment bar at the castle and many cultural events with entertainment for kids take place there each year.
